Series · Jesus vs the Copycats 3 of 15

Zeitgeist says Horus was born of a virgin, marked by a star in the east, adored by three kings, a teacher at twelve, baptized and in ministry at thirty, with twelve disciples.

It says he worked miracles, was called Lamb of God and the Light, was crucified, lay dead three days, and rose. None of that is in the Egyptian record. Isis was not a virgin. The hymn says she drew Osiris’s essence from him.

There is no star, no kings, no ministry, no twelve disciples. Horus was not crucified. Crucifixion did not exist yet. The one killed and revived was Osiris, and Isis did it by magic.

No Egyptian text before the New Testament supports the resemblance.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.” — 1 John 4:1
