The Son is not the sun. The twelve are not the zodiac.
Zeitgeist says the Son, spelled S-U-N, died on the cross and rose, and that the twelve disciples are the constellations the sun travels through. Christians never said that. Ancient religions did not say it either. The claim comes from Acharya S, not from a source. Jesus does not pass through the disciples the way the sun passes the signs.
The twelve were chosen for the twelve tribes of Israel. Genesis already has those tribes around 1000 BC, and the story is older. The twelve zodiac signs were divided by the Babylonians in the 5th century BC. The tribes came first. You cannot read the zodiac back into them.
