Wormwood, a 15-Day Cleanse and Copper Water... for Demons?

Source video: Hard Truths (@HardTruthswithjay), "Fallible Friday - Exposing @KayPodgee New Age "Christian"" (uploaded July 31, 2026): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfvNFMzKlAU
Speaker in clip: the Hard Truths host (off camera, unnamed), narrating over KayPodgee's Amazon storefront.

What is said (source timestamps)

• 0:22:17.8–0:22:24.9: "Here are some products she recommends. Wormwood, black walnut, clove capsules."
• 0:23:04.3–0:23:20.7: "She's another one who believes demons are parasites. I guess they're not spiritual entities, they're just parasitical things that live inside of your body. So to get rid of them you use this 15-day cleanse." (A short aside naming another teacher was cut at a word boundary. It doesn't change the meaning.)
• 0:23:43.0–0:23:46.8: "So she actually wants you to drink copper water."
• On screen: KayPodgee's storefront, with a list titled "Parasite Cleanse / Detox" (wormwood/black walnut/clove, activated charcoal, castor oil, magnesium, a 15-day cleanse) and a video titled "1 month of drinking copper water."

Attribution note

"Demons are parasites" is the host's summary of her teaching. This Reel doesn't show KayPodgee saying it in her own words. What is visible is the "Parasite Cleanse / Detox" product list on her storefront.

Scripture

• Ephesians 6:12 NKJV: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
• Matthew 8:16 NKJV: "...He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick."

Demons are personal spiritual beings under Christ's authority, not gut organisms to be purged with herbs.

Left out on purpose

Elsewhere in this section, the host claims copper is "serpent blood" and that serpents have copper-based blood. That is false: snakes, like all vertebrates, carry iron-based hemoglobin, and copper-based hemocyanin is found in many mollusks and arthropods. It is not in this Reel.

Wormwood, a 15-day cleanse, copper water... for demons?

In this Hard Truths clip, the host walks through KayPodgee's Amazon storefront: wormwood/black walnut/clove capsules, a "Parasite Cleanse / Detox" list and a copper-water video. He says she "believes demons are parasites" a cleanse can flush out. (His summary of her view.)

Demons aren't parasites you purge with a capsule. "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers..." Ephesians 6:12 NKJV. Jesus "cast out the spirits with a word" (Matthew 8:16), not a protocol.

Doctors say there's little evidence cleanses work. Ask yours first.
