Tithe or Else?
A megachurch pastor tells his congregation that if you're not tithing "to God through this church," God views you the same as the men he calls perverts. Then he says he's "1000%" trying to shame you.
That's not the gospel. The tithe belonged to the Old Covenant: Israel's law, Levitical priesthood and temple storehouse (Malachi 3 was spoken to Israel under that law). Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. New Testament giving is free, generous and cheerful, never coerced, never pledged to one pastor's building. Lumping people who don't pay his church into a sin list to guilt their wallets open is spiritual manipulation, not shepherding.

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
