They called it a school project. It reads like a map of the house.
At twelve, BridgeAnne d’Avignon of California traced more than half a million names and said 42 of 43 U.S. presidents — Washington, Jefferson, Taft, Obama — run back to one man:
John “Lackland” Plantagenet, King of England, signer of the Magna Carta in 1215. The holdout is Martin Van Buren, Dutch line. She used the women’s lines the old charts skipped. She said she is Obama’s 18th cousin.
The White House sent a form letter.
A republic with a Plantagenet spine. Not proof of a throne in the Oval Office. Proof that the English tree did not stay in England.
“And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.”
— Acts 17:26
“He removeth kings, and setteth up kings.”
— Daniel 2:21
