North Carolina plans a 155-foot Murugan statue — Hindu god of war — on 130 acres in Moncure. Taller than Lady Liberty’s figure. Brazil just raised an 11-meter devil statue at a Quimbanda temple in Taíba, Ceará. Funded by a priestess calling herself Mother Queen of Darkness.
Meanwhile Massachusetts’ high court blocked Quincy from putting St. Michael and St. Florian on a public safety building — because they’re Christian.
The world will fund the idol. The court will freeze the saint. Same old pattern.
“All the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.” — Psalm 96:5
“They sacrificed to demons, not to God.” — Deuteronomy 32:17
“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons.” — 1 Corinthians 10:21
“I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.” — Isaiah 42:8
