Exhibit AKey Evidence

  1. The Druids were the influential priests, magicians, and sorcerers of the nature religions that prevailed in early Northern Europe. (Narrator)
  2. Samhain was seen as a time when the dividing line between the dead and the living was at its thinnest. Consequently, contact with spirit beings was thought to be easiest. (Narrator)
  3. Samhain was also one of the major fire festivals of the Celts. At this time, the Druidic priesthood led the people in diabolical worship ceremonies in which they would sacrifice animals and humans in ritual killings. (Narrator; claim source on screen: Roman writers (Caesar, Tacitus))
  4. Human sacrifice has absolutely no place in the modern tradition. Just because we see a pagan revival doesn't mean that we wish to go back to barbarism of any sort. (Modern druid)
  5. We have what we call contacts, there are other names for them. They are beings, that's the easy thing to call them, which can be people who have lived on the earth or they can be God forms. (Modern witch)
  6. Deuteronomy chapter 18 spells out God's position concerning man's participation in divination, sorcery, or communicating with the dead. Verse 12 states that whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord. (Narrator)

Exhibit BFrom the Word

“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.”
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 NKJV

The Druids: Then and Now

Where did Halloween really come from, and who are the people still keeping its oldest rites today? This edit traces the druids of ancient Celtic Europe — Samhain, the fire festivals, the priesthood the Roman writers described — through to the modern druid orders, witches and pagans interviewed on camera, in their own words.

Then we hold it all up to Scripture:
"There shall not be found among you anyone who … practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead." — Deuteronomy 18:10–12 (NKJV)

The Druids Never Left

The druids were the priests, magicians and sorcerers of ancient Celtic Europe. Samhain, the night they believed the veil between the living and the dead was thinnest, is the root of Halloween.

Roman writers recorded druid fire rites and sacrifices. Modern druids say that has "no place" in their tradition. But listen to what is still practiced: seeking spirit "contacts" that "can be people who have lived on the earth."

New robes, same old door. God named it in Deuteronomy 18: witchcraft, sorcery, mediums, calling up the dead, "an abomination to the Lord."

Don't play with what God calls darkness. Expose it (Eph 5:11) and point people to Jesus.
