Series · Mormonism 1 of 5
Joseph Smith was a treasure hunter and occultist who used seer stones in a hat to “translate” golden plates. An “angel” named Moroni appeared and told him every Christian church since Christ was apostate. He taught that you can become a god someday — the exact same lie the serpent told Eve in the Garden.
He took dozens of wives (including young girls), ran a 2,500-man militia, destroyed a printing press, and died in a jail shootout after ordering the arrest of men who printed the truth about him.
This is not Christianity.
This is another gospel.

Test everything by the Word of God.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God…” – 1 John 4:1
“If anyone preaches another gospel… let him be accursed.” – Galatians 1:8-9
