If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Galatians 5:18. Chris White sets it next to the rest of the contrast. Romans 8:4: the righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled in those who walk by the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:6: not of the letter, but of the Spirit. The letter kills.
The Spirit gives life. Romans 7:6: delivered from the law, so we serve in the newness of the Spirit.
The Spirit now does what the law did. He convicts. He gives new desires. When we sin, we grieve Him, and Ephesians 4:30 says we are still sealed. He does not leave.
Against the fruit of the Spirit there is no law. You will stumble. The net under the tightrope is grace.
“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” — Galatians 5:18
