Colossians 2:16–17 says let no one judge you over a festival, a new moon, or a Sabbath
Colossians 2:16–17 says let no one judge you over a festival, a new moon, or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of what was coming. The body is Christ.
Chris White’s picture is simple. You are glad to see the shadow of someone you love, because it means they are close.
Once they are standing in front of you, holding onto the shadow is foolish. The Pharisees kept the shadow while the Lord of the Sabbath stood right there.
Hebrews 4 says the ones who have believed enter that rest. The seventh day was pointing at Him. Jesus is the rest.
“These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.” — Colossians 2:17
