He quotes Jesus.

He quotes Jesus.
Then he changes the verse.
Manly P. Hall, 1983:
“Every child who comes into the world has an angel…
when that child departs, the angel intercedes…
therefore, angels born with children — in the words of Jesus.”
That is not what Jesus said.
“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones;
for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”
— Matthew 18:10
Their angels behold the Father.
They are not a soul-twin born with you.
They do not stand in your place at death.
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
— 1 Timothy 2:5
“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”
— Hebrews 1:14
Hall uses Matthew as a footnote for Theosophy.
Read the verse. He added the doctrine.
