Benjamin Creme, lecturing as the herald of “Maitreya the Christ,” delivers Message No. 10 in the first person:
“I am the One Who will not go away. I am your Friend. I am your Hope. I am your Shield. I am your Love.”
Creme called this mental overshadowing. The compilation treats the same room as a mild possession — still face, slowed speech, a tapping pulse under the audio, an audience sitting very still.
“Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
— Matthew 24:4–5
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
— Matthew 24:24
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
— 1 John 4:1
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
— 2 Corinthians 11:14
Maitreya is not Jesus of Nazareth. Creme is only the messenger. The voice he lends the room claims titles that belong to Christ alone.
