Benjamin Creme (d. 2016) spent the ’80s saying he was the mouthpiece for Lord Maitreya — the World Teacher, already here, hiding in a London apartment. They were going to roll him out and stun the world.
Didn’t happen.

Then he opens Creme’s own book — The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom, page 87:
