Exhibit AKey Evidence

  1. That's the question the creator of The Religion Business gets asked, and his answer is the whole series: "I think that's the wrong question. I think the question should be, what is a church?"
  2. He grew up in it. His parents sang in choir, he sang in choir, and he gave his money and time.
  3. Then his questions led him into what the series calls "an industry bigger than the US military." Tithing sermons, a "Ferrari," tax exemption with no annual return, and a claim that "$53 billion dollars is stolen every year" from churches.
  4. It's not an attack on Jesus. It's a call to hold His church to His standard.

Exhibit BFrom the Word

“By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.”
2 Peter 2:3 NKJV
