The Shroud of Turin
The Shroud of Turin
This is the burial cloth many believe wrapped Jesus after the crucifixion.
Look at what the image still holds:
• blood marks and deep scourge wounds
• swelling from a crown of thorns
• a beating to the face
• the nail through the wrist, not the palm
• no thumbs showing — a nail through that nerve pulls the thumb inward
The claim is that this is not painted on. The image behaves like a photo negative, carrying three-dimensional data, as if a burst of light left the body on the linen.
“In Him was life, and that life was the light unto men… and the darkness overcame it not.”
