Sean Feucht told people to ignore the Howerton criticism and quoted 2 Timothy 2:23
Sean Feucht told people to ignore the Howerton criticism and quoted 2 Timothy 2:23.
“Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies.”
That verse is about pointless fights. It is not a cover for public sin.
Paul also says:
1 Timothy 5:20 — those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all.
Ephesians 5:11 — take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but
expose them.
2 Timothy 4:2 — reprove, rebuke, and exhort.
The move is DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse victim and offender.
Stephen Furtick. Brian Johnson. Carl Lentz. Brian Houston. Sean Feucht. Josh Howerton.
Accountability shows up, they flip it, and they play the victim.
If Sean Feucht is the one coming to your defense, that is not a good sign.
