In Galatians he says the true gospel is righteousness by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. If anyone adds another required work — even an angel from heaven — that message is accursed.
Then he writes this:
“A person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ… because by the works of the law no one will be justified.” — Galatians 2:16
The Sabbath is a commandment. It is law.
If the three angels’ message teaches that the Sabbath is the seal of God and the definitive mark of the true believer — something you must keep in order to be saved — that is the same kind of addition Paul condemned in Galatia: Christ plus a work of the law.
