Last claim: Horus was crucified, buried three days, and resurrected.
None of that is in the Egyptian records. Crucifixion did not exist there. Acharya's retreat: don't look for a man nailed to a cross.

She means a god drawn with arms outstretched. A hawk whose wings span the sky. A hundred million people heard "crucified."

This is what was meant.
The three days is not an Egyptian text. It runs through Plutarch, who wrote after Christ, into a German book on Hellenistic mystery religion. That is Greece, centuries later, not the pyramid texts.

On the resurrection, the scholar she appeals to says the opposite. Mettinger: most scholars doubt there were dying-and-rising gods at all. Osiris does not come back. He stays in the netherworld.

The consensus since the 1930s is they died and did not rise. The people still teaching this are, in his words, an almost extinct species.
