Kingdom or Party?
Exhibit AKey Evidence
- A teaching checklist: 4 signs the faith is being misused.
- Faith worn like a team jersey. "For our citizenship is in heaven." (Phil 3:20)
- Outrage for profit. "By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words." (2 Pet 2:3)
- A politician as God's anointed. "Do not put your trust in princes." (Ps 146:3)
- Disagreement treated as an attack on the faith. "We do not wrestle against flesh and blood." (Eph 6:12)
- What the world sees "isn't spiritual life, it's political dominance wrapped in religious language."
- This isn't an attack on Christianity, and it isn't a vote for any party. It's a call back to Christ. Jesus is King. No candidate, network, or movement is.
Exhibit BFrom the Word
“Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.””
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,”
“By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.”
“Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.”
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
