“God doesn’t use sickness. That’s stupid.”
“God doesn’t use sickness. That’s stupid.”
Then… what about Job?Todd White mocks the idea that God would ever allow sickness to test or refine a believer. Scripture does not. Job was struck with sores by Satan — and God permitted it to prove Job’s faith (Job 1–2). That is not “twisted.” That is the Bible. The clip then moves to the other claim: that a Christian can live essentially sinless — “blank canvas,” “never violated,” “never looked lustfully,” “I live with me. ”That is not holiness. That is Pelagianism / sinless perfectionism — a teaching the church rejected centuries ago. Christ paid the debt. Sanctification is lifelong.
We still pray, “forgive us our trespasses.”
We still need 1 John 1:9.Proverbs 20:9 — Who can say, “I have made my heart pure; I am clean from my sin”?
Ecclesiastes 7:20 — Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
1 John 1:8 — If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Romans 7 — the war with the flesh did not end at conversion. Watch the full exposé here:

Test every teacher by Scripture. Pray for those who follow this. Do not confuse confidence with
holiness.
