Gnosticism in one minute.
This world is a prison.
The Creator of this world is not the true God.
He is a lesser being — the Demiurge.
Secret knowledge frees you. The serpent is the hero.
That is the claim.
Scripture says the opposite.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1
“And God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good.” — Genesis 1:31
“All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” — John 1:3
“Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God.” — 1 John 4:3
“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding… oppositions of science falsely so called.” — 1 Timothy 6:20
The serpent did not free anyone. He lied.
Christ did not come to escape creation. He came in the flesh to redeem it.
