Every lodge is a temple.
Every lodge is a temple.
Albert Pike: every Masonic lodge is a temple of religion.
Albert Mackey: the most cherished symbol in Masonry is the Temple of Jerusalem.
Take the Temple out, he said, and the system decays and dies.
Then the film’s point:
The unfinished pyramid on the back of the dollar
is the dream of a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.
Not finished. Waiting. Capstone still missing.
Jesus already answered that building:
“Destroy this temple, and in three days
I will raise it up…
he spake of the temple of his body.”
— John 2:19–21
“Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands.”
— Acts 7:48
“Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God…
so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:4
The living Temple is Christ.
Not a capstone on a dollar.
Not a lodge.
