As in the Days of Noah
Theme: Gary Wayne argues that Jesus' words about the days of Noah are a warning that history repeats, so believers should study what happened before the flood to understand what is coming. Jesus' own words are in Matthew 24:37 (NKJV).

Summary
Gary Wayne says the days of Noah are "a warning to us that we are going to go through the same cycle as what has been going on before." He quotes Ecclesiastes 1, "nothing is new under the sun," and notes that the Luke account adds the days of Lot at Sodom and Gomorrah. His conclusion: if the end times will be like the days of Noah, "we better learn more about what happened in prehistory if we want to understand what's about to come upon us."
Edit note: a short exchange with the host and a side remark about Gnostic teaching are trimmed for length. Gary says "Ecclesiastics"; the captions read "Ecclesiastes."

Takeaway
Jesus pointed back to Noah and Lot so His people would not be caught off guard. In those days people went on with life, eating, drinking, marrying, buying and selling, until judgment came suddenly (Luke 17:27-29). The call is to watch, stay ready and know the Word.
