A system that looks like light, sells glory, and catechizes the nations through spectacle.
“The whole world lies in the power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19). Not every artist. Not every beat. The world — the machinery of appetite, image, and worship that does not bow to Christ. Entertainment is one of its pulpits. We do not only listen. We learn who to admire, what to crave, and which signs feel powerful.
Paul said the god of this age blinds minds (2 Corinthians 4:4). That blindness rarely looks like a horror film. It looks like beauty, talent, ritual, and a crowd that already knows the words. Signs and wonders can be counterfeit. Pharaoh’s magicians copied the first plagues.
Jesus warned that false wonders would be so convincing that, if possible, even the elect would be shaken (Matthew 24:24).
Babylon always dresses the same: luxury, music, trade, and a cup that makes the nations drunk (Revelation 18).
The point is not “never hear a song.” The point is that the world discipled Solomon with wives and altars, and it disciples us with stages and algorithms. Same invitation. Different lighting.
The world is not starving for talent. It is starving for a god it can manage.
Fame is a cheap substitute for glory.
Symbols are not harmless when they train the heart to wink at darkness.
Test the spirits (1 John 4:1). Do not be conformed to this age (Romans 12:2). Come out from among them — not into paranoia, but into holiness (2 Corinthians 6:17).
Christ is not competing with the industry for a feature. He already exposed the powers and made a public spectacle of them at the cross (Colossians 2:15).
The condition of the world is that people will trade the living God for the pleasures of this world, they lack the awareness of this life being but a vapor, everything sown bears a cost.
Salvation was made free at the Cross..
Guard the gates. Eyes. Ears. Heart.
The soundtrack is loud. The King is louder.
